Marceline Gomez is a fictional character in the Regents Walk comic series. She is of Spanish descent. Like Prissy, she has a high opinion of herself; unlike her, she has the background and willpower to solidify such an image. She is one of the twelve Shadows, so her tale will be part of the Stories written series.

Biography

A student at Widow's Perch Elementary, Marceline is the daughter of a local wealthy socialite and a local politician. She lives in the nicest neighborhood in town and would no doubt go to a private school if one were available in the area. Although she is considered to be among the school "royalty," she doesn't typically pity any other students or insult others unless provoked.

Marceline's family has long been connected to Widow's Perch, and are colloquially known as being among the "old money." She can trace her roots back to the original local Spanish and Mexican settlers. Although her personal relatives are not among the super-elite, her mother's cousin is Simone "Sparks" Gomez, third wife of Kenneth Lyons. This makes Freddy Lyons her second cousin.

Big Blue (Chapter One)

One of the students in Mrs. Hambridge's class, Marceline tells Ms. Goodwin that she was named after a princess, but doesn't mention which one in particular. She can later be seen in the school pickup area, greeting her mother. Because of her believing that Margaret called herself Maggot during the introductions to Ms. Goodwin, Margaret is teased the following day at recess. Marceline is present in the group being mean to her, but doesn't contribute further.

She is later seen during the play rehearsal as the narrator, but is having a tough time with her lines.

Appearances In Stories

Channing thinks of her as snobby in School, especially once she thinks that the book Madeline, which Mrs. Hambridge reads to the class, is about her.
