|Character of Regents Walk|
|Full Name||Tanya Belmont Kovac|
|Birthday||March 17th, 1981|
|Starring Chapter (Stories)||Unknown|
Tanya Kovac is a fictional character in the Regents Walk comic series. She easily stands out in a crowd with her creepy smile and severe amblyopia. She is one of the twelve Shadows, so her tale will be part of the Stories written series.
A student at Widow's Perch Elementary, Tanya's outward appearance starts off her social life with disadvantages. Most kids would of course have no concept of a "lazy eye," and her awkward manner of violating personal space and tendency to share too much information doesn't help matters. Still, Channing becomes one of her friends.
Big Blue (Chapter One)
A student in Mrs. Hambridge's class, her first significant moment is introducing Indira to Ms. Goodwin for her, telling her that she's her "bodyguard." Indira seems to not even understand what that means or why it's happening to her. She can later be seen in the background during recess, sitting on the ground with Savanna and another girl.
Appearances In Stories
In School, even on the first day, she sticks to Indira like a magnet, declaring that she's her friend and defending her from a paper ball attack from Tom. Channing identifies her as the "weird eyeball girl" at first, but the following day, when she sees that she's by herself, she invites her to her group to hang out for a bit, with Gladys and Margaret. Tanya explains that in kindergarten, the kids didn't seem to notice her eye much, but now, everyone is avoiding her.
Tanya has a strange need and want to "protect" Indira when she is still small, in first grade. But she doesn't even get her last name right (Westerburger) and it seems to be more of a strange attachment issue than a bodyguard setup.
